Our computer has a virus )-:

We have had good intentions to update our blog... but our computer has a virus and we need to get it taken care of this week! Tyler is growing a lot! He is one month tomorrow. He has a double chin and is in size one diapers, he can fit into his 0-3 month clothing (after I wash them), he's getting stronger and it's fun to take him around a little more. Ty Ty's gone to the fair, a parade, Utah, Education Week, shopping...He's a fun little guy, and we're doing well.

We'll put new pics up soon, note to everyone...get an anti-virus (-:

Week 2 and Growing strong!

Tyler is now 2 weeks, Luke and I tried to weigh and measure him yesterday. We think that he's 8 pounds, we also attempted measuring him and got 20 inches (-: They sure grow fast!



I am going to start taking pictures of Tyler with this bear for a while to see how big he's getting.

Tyler had a visit from his 1st time great grandpa, Grandpa Per from Boise.

First week of life!!

Having Tyler in our home has been wonderful! We love this little boy so much! He's so fun. This week has been eventful for the little guy. He’s gained about 3 oz, he used to only want to be bundled up, now he likes his arms free and usually on his head. And much more...
He loves to look around, I love when he’s like this.


He absolutely loves bath time.


He gets major hiccups and they wake him up, don't change his diaper right away, there's one right behind it, he can’t control his yawns (-:


He knows his nights and days (so far), I love to take one nap a day with Tyler on my belly.


Grandma Bernie-1st time grandma (My mom) was here this week. That was wonderful! She took the first feeding shift at about 12:30, and I got sleep until about 3:00, it was good to have her company and baby knowledge. Plus, now I have freezer meals (-:

Our Miracle Baby- TYLER CLYDE COATS

Our sweet little baby was born on July 25, 2008 at 9:06 am in Cassia Regional Medical Center. It was a difficult delivery. Luke and I went to the hospital on July 24th at 11:30 am to get the induction we expected, they started me on Pitosin which didn’t do anything all day. The contractions were painful, but there was no progress, that night I started on Cytotec, a pill to help soften the cervix. At 5:50am my water broke by itself, and contractions were intense and intensifying by the minute, they kept checking and it was progressing fast. I got an epidural 7:15, but the contractions were still intense, and very painful. I was ready to start pushing about 8:50.

Our baby’s heart started slowing a lot with the pushes. I heard them and thought it was my own heart rate at about 80. The doctor told me I really need to push hard and get the baby out. When the baby started crowning the doctor saw two cords around his neck. He quickly cut the cords and the baby was handed to Wendy, our nurse. Luke and I kept looking over at the baby, he was extremely white, there was no crying and he was completely limp. They called our family physician, Dr. Wells, the respiratory therapist, Tyrell, and anesthesia. All of the healthcare workers rushed in, I know all of them because I work at the hospital. They were all wonderful.

Tyler wasn’t breathing, he was being bagged, he had chest compressions, and was being stimulated, I heard Dr. Wells say the words intubation and epinephrine, to me (as a nurse) that meant my baby was dying. Luke and I were holding hands watching helplessly as these people worked on our baby. We were praying and crying that God would spare his life. I just thought I would go home empty handed. It was aweful. There was about 7-10 minutes of working, but no results. After the longest moment of our lives we heard the most beautiful cry. It was such a wonderful noise. We thanked God. The nurses and anesthesiologist took our baby in the nursery to make sure his heart was ok. As I was being stitched up my nurses kept coming in and telling me the progress. He was doing well. I told Luke to go with them to the nursery, so he could be with his little boy. Our little boy’s Apgar scores were 1 and 5.

We are so blessed. We know little Tyler’s life is so precious and that he is supposed to be here with us. Everything really is in the hands of the Lord, and we are so reliant on him. We are so excited to be the parents of this precious baby, and we love him so much. We are so grateful to the wonderful staff and to our family and friends prayers and support, and especially to our Heavenly Father.

Tyler is 6 pounds 11 oz, 19 inches long, he has dark blue eyes and light brown hair. He is beautiful!

I love this little angel! His spirit is so precious in our home.
