Rollercoaster of ups and downs...

Last week I was considering writing a blog about the "terrible 2's". Tyler refused to take naps, he was slightly sick (and coughing on the baby), he did exactly opposite that I told him, had a constant high pitch whine to his voice, stealing the baby's pacifier, and we pretty much gave up on poo poo potty training. I kept telling myself that I needed to see the good and enjoy this crazy journey.

This week my little boys have been wonderful. Tyler is the sweetest brother. He is always so happy to see Easton, he asks about him first thing in the morning, he snuggles next to him, strokes his hair, kisses his head about 50 times/day, and holds his hand. It's those moments I feel like this is all worth it!

The other day Easton was laying on Ty's lap and got hiccups. Determined to help, Tyler told me to get his bubble gun and so he could shoot all the hiccups away. Easton would hiccup, and Tyler would "shoot" it with the gun. Kinda funny, but it was sweet.

We've really been staying inside a lot because of the weather and sicknesses around. It's good, but it can be really hard (for me and Tyler). We've seen a lot more play dough, crayons, finger paints, and movies these days. We're ready for spring!

I'm SOOOOO glad Tyler has a daddy that comes home and wrestles with him. He NEEDS it!

I have not checked blogspot for sooo long, but I am so glad I did! First of all, congrats on the beautiful new baby! Love his name and he is just perfect. Also, I know exactly what you are going through with two kids...especially having one in the terrible twos. Clay had a really hard time adjusting to Aubrey. He would hit her, drive his trucks over her head, try to smother her with stuffed animals and blankets, feed her things...you name it! I spent the first couple months of her life protecting her and putting him in time-out. I felt like such a bad mom at times. Also, he always seemed to need me or get into mischief right when I was about to sit down and nurse her. Lots of times, I would read him stories while she nursed and that seemed to help. Anyway, I am here to tell you that it does get better! Now that Aubrey can laugh at him, he just loves her. It is wonderful to see your children interact and now I wouldn't trade having two so close in age. I hope you are healing well and getting some sleep. You are so beautiful Linds! I think about you often and if you ever want to chat, my # is 801-907-1406. Love ya!
